ERASMUS + KA2
Our high school takes part in the Erasmus+ KA2 project “Des jeunes européens qui font l’histoire” since 2016. This is an ambitious project to be developed in three years with students from high schools in France (project manager), Italy, Germany and Lithuania. As far as our high school is concerned, 4th ESO students from the school years 2016-17, 2017-18 and 2018-19 will be the ones taking part in it. The project’s main goal is to work on history from a different perspective trying to analyze and compare the commitment of the European youth from the past and the present. To reach this goal, the project is structured in three different areas: the documentary group, the cinema club group and the theatre group.
In the documentary group the students from each country have had to contact some people whose parents are witnesses of civil wars or world wars to interview them as well as visit some different locations related to their personal history. Finally, with all the data they will have been recording along the process, they will edit a documentary that will be shown in 2019 in the cinema festival of Toulouse, organized by the French high school as a closing ceremony of the whole project.
As for the cinema club group, every country has watched three different films: one previous to the 90s, another one after the 90s and a documentary, all of them representative of the commitment and the history of that country. During the Erasmus+ mobility carried out in 2018 in Olivar Gran, every participating high school had to present each of their films so that the other students knew about them. Next school year, every country will have to watch the films from the other countries and decide the prizes that will be given at the cinema festival of Toulouse.
Lastly, the theatre group has worked on the creation of a theatre play involving this historical background. Every year the participating students have had to create their own theatre play from impros, self-made texts and/or literary texts and, finally, the plays have been shown both in our high school during the dissemination day as well as in some of the mobilities to the countries of other participant high schools, specifically in Portogruaro in 2017 and Düsseldorf in 2018.
